It’s widely regarded as the backbone of Australia’s wine industry, accounting for two-thirds of South Australia’s grape production and one-third of Australia’s total harvest. The region is known for its Chardonnay and Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are also well-suited to the area.
