Kangaroo Island

Day 1

Fly into Kangaroo Island in the early afternoon and be transported to your luxury accommodation. There is variety of options to choose from with all locations giving you the opportunity to wander the grounds spotting wildlife or relaxing in comfort while sampling some of the Island’s incredible produce. Enjoy dinner at your accommodation either in the intimate restaurant or cooked by a private chef.

Day 2

Kangaroo Island is renowned for its wildlife so today get set to explore the Island spotting Kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, sea lions, and a plethora of other native species. First stop is Seal Bay Conservation Park to take part in a guided walk along the beach with your accredited guide. The beach is a haven for the endangered Australian Sea Lion where they come to rest after spending time at sea and also give birth to their pups. Next, head to Flinders Chase National Park and visit the iconic Remarkable Rocks. This beautiful rock formation has been created over 500 million years by rain, wind and waves to create the incredible formation. Continue through the national park for a visit to Cape du Couedic lighthouse before walking down to Admirals Arch to wonder at the rock bridge, and spot fur seals resting on the rocks. Your guides will take you to a secret location for a cooked lunch surrounded by nature throughout the day as well as stops that only locals know to spot some of the iconic species that call Kangaroo Island home. After the day of touring return to your accommodation with dinner on-site.

Day 3

Today, explore Kangaroo Islands producers and sample some of the best the Island has to offer while keeping an eye out for wildlife. The first stop is American River to visit the Oyster Farm Shop to learn how the oysters make their way from ocean to plate and sample some of the oysters fresh from the sea. Keep you eye out for the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo that live in the area and eat their favourite food the Kangaroo Island Sheoak. The next stop is Pennington Beach for a stop to see the beautiful white sandy beach and climb Mt Thisby Lookout where you look over the narrowest part of the Island which is less than a kilometre wide. For lunch head to False Cape Wines for a regional platter and a tasting of their delicious wines. After lunch it is off to Clifford’s Honey Farm and learn about the pure Ligurian honey that can only be found on Kangaroo Island. The last stop for the day is Kangaroo Island Spirits to blend your own gin and sample their award-winning spirits. Then it is time to return to your accommodation for dinner watching the spectacular sunset.

Day 4

This morning, take one last walk around your accommodation to say goodbye to the local wildlife before making your way to the airport for your onward journey.
