On this five-day cruise you travel almost all south Australia’s Murray river, departing from the historical port of Goolwa cruise upstream across lake Alexandria (Australia’s largest fresh water lake). After re-entering the river continue cruising past willow lined fiver flats, irrigation areas, farm lands, spectacular golden cliffs, and south Australia’s river land famous for its food and wine Passing many river side towns, under several bridges and five of the Murray river locks. Over the five-day Captains commentary is provided throughout the cruise with ensuite room overnight accommodation in riverside hotels along the way each night. The cruise finished in Renmark after 553 kms along the river, where return coach transport of Goolwa and Adelaide is available.
Price includes all cruising, accommodation, meals, morning and afternoon tea, return transport to Adelaide and specified on-shore excursions. Onshore excursions provide the opportunity to explore, experience and hear the history of the Murray river.
