Valley Wine Tours - Clare Valley

Clare Valley

ATDW pixel
With local pickup and a choice of private, shared, and dog-friendly tours, Valley Wine Tours offers relaxed wine tours through the Clare Valley.

Operated by local guide Charles Grover, a long-term Clare Valley resident, the tours are aimed at people wanting a slower and more personal experience than a large bus tour.

The day might include well-known wineries, smaller cellar doors, local stories, or a few uncomfortable truths about the region's history. It depends on the group and the conversation. The pace is relaxed, with time to enjoy the wineries properly rather than rushing between stops.

Charles has worked in the Australian wine industry for more than 25 years and knows the Clare Valley well beyond the usual tourist route. Guests often comment that the local knowledge and connections with cellar doors make the day feel genuine rather than scripted.

These tours begin within the Clare Valley itself, which means less time driving from Adelaide and more time experiencing the region.
