Depart Adelaide and travel through the northern suburbs and the Adelaide Plains to the Clare Valley. Visit historic Kapunda, Sevenhill Winery and Church, South Australia’s first winery. Continue through the Southern Flinders Ranges to Hawker and Rawnsley Park. Visit a local art gallery and overnight at Rawnsley Park.
Day two travel through central Flinders Ranges via Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorge and visit Wilpena Pound. View Australian wildlife at peace with nature and view the pioneering heritage of the area. Visit the Quandong Cafe, Talc Alf , the Ochre Pits and Farina before staying overnight in Marree.
Day three take an early morning flight over Lake Eyre. After flight have a browse around historic Marree then follow the Oodnadatta track to Lake Eyre South. Stop at Lake Eyre South and walk on the salty surface or maybe put your feet in the water. Have lunch looking out over the Lake before travelling to Woomera via Roxby Downs.
Day four visit the Woomera Rocket Park and Museum before travelling south along the Stuart Highway to Port Augusta and Adelaide. After lunch in Port Augusta we make a beeline for Adelaide.
