Embark on a two-day, one-night exploration of Coonawarra, departing from Adelaide. This tour, chauffeured and led by an experienced wine guide, traverses the pastoral landscapes to reach the heart of premium red wine production. Your journey may include a visit to Padthaway Estate to sample distinguished Chardonnays and other exceptional varietals. Explore the Naracoorte Caves and Bool Lagoon, both recognised by the United Nations for their ecological importance, and enjoy an alfresco lunch or dine at the renowned Hollicks Estate.

The itinerary offers flexibility with options like a stroll through historic Petticoat Lane in Penola or visiting top wine producers like Wynns Coonawarra Estate and Balnaves of Coonawarra. Evening accommodations vary from the elegant Padthaway Estate Homestead to stylish apartments or a quaint cottage, with potential dining at Pipers restaurant or in the seaside village of Robe.

The following day might include a meeting with Brian Lynn, a viticulture lecturer and winery owner, at Majella Estate for a tour and tasting session. Time permitting, visits to other local wineries such as Penley Estate and Rymill Estate are possible, with a coastal return trip featuring a seafood lunch and scenic views of Mount Benson and the Coorong wetlands.
