Kangaroo Island is regarded as the best location to see Australian wildlife in the wild. It is a destination of stunning scenery such as Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Enjoy local produce including honey, seafood, Marron (freshwater crayfish) and wine alongside friendly and relaxed locals.
To make the most of a short stay on the island take a morning flight from Adelaide to Kingscote on Kangaroo Island and tour with one of the experienced four-wheel drive operators offering personalised tours.
Accommodation and tour operators to consider are listed below. For more ideas of what to see and do, check out the Best of Adelaide and Kangaroo Island Itinerary page.

Touring options
We recommend joining a tour to truly experience the island. Exceptional Kangaroo Island, Kangaroo Island Touring Company and Sea Dragon Kangaroo Island offer all-inclusive small or private groups tours, or join one of many other tour operators on the island.
Self-driving is possible but check with vehicle hire companies before bringing a hire car to the island. Vehicle hire depots are in Kingscote, the airport and Penneshaw. There is no public transport or taxi service available on the island.
